A drink driver was arrested after he tried to avoid police by unknowingly driving into a Melbourne police centre car park early Sunday.
Police have been told the 22-year-old man from Mulgrave was driving erratically in the city about 4am (AEDT).
Police officers attempted to intercept the vehicle on Flinders Street, when the man tried to avoid them by driving into a car park at the Victoria Police Centre.
The driver was refused entry to the car park, and was later intercepted by police on Siddeley Street.
The disqualified driver was breath tested and blew .171 per cent.
Police impounded the man's vehicle under the hoon legislation and he is expected to be charged on summons with various traffic offences.
