A five-year-old boy has fallen out of a moving train in far north Queensland.
The boy sustained a cut to his head and general bruising after falling from the Sunlander tourist train at Aloombah, about 30km south of Cairns, about 7pm (AEST) on Wednesday, a Department of Emergency Service (DCS) spokesman said.
"The boy was taken to Cairns Hospital in a stable condition,'' the spokesman said.
It's believed the five-year-old was travelling with his mother and three siblings from Brisbane to Cairns at the time.
Tourism Minister Annastacia Palaszczuk has ordered an inquiry.
