Could this be the look of Kate Middleton's wedding dress?
Middleton will marry Prince William in a gown by an Alexander McQueen designer famous for her off-the-wall creations, it has been claimed.
Sarah Burton has emerged as the firm favourite after a report in Britain's Sunday Times newspaper.
A spokesman for the fashion house said, "I can confirm that Alexander McQueen are not making Kate Middleton's wedding dress", but did not rule out Burton's personal involvement. Fashion insiders were quick to praise Burton as a choice, with Vogue editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley telling the Daily Mail: "If she [Middleton] were dressed by Ms Burton, she'd make a beautiful bride."
Showing her autumn-winter 2011 collection in Paris yesterday, Burton sent a series of long, white, fairytale designs down the runway, her show attracting an unusual amount of attention because of the royal rumours.
But it will be almost two months before Middleton arrives in front of Westminster Abbey, where the dress - and designer - will be revealed.
