Two Indonesian fishermen who allegedly boarded an Australian vessel are in custody and heading for Broome.
The two men were apprehended off Western Australia's remote north coast on Saturday after the alarm was raised by the skipper of Australian fishing boat Southern Venture II.
The skipper said the Indonesian pair climbed aboard his boat before being confronted by the Australian crew.
WA fisheries patrol vessel Walcott and HMAS Geraldton intercepted the vessel in seas midway between Broome and Darwin.
The two men were taken aboard the Walcott and their own vessel destroyed.
