Tens of thousands of people in Fiji are at risk of catching typhoid after tropical Cyclone Tomas whipped through the country, damaging fresh water supplies.
Fiji's deputy secretary for public health, Joe Koroivueta, said the number-one health concern was the lack of safe drinking water. Radio NZ reported an estimated 30,000 people are now at risk of catching typhoid.
