KEY POINTS:
Fiji police are investigating whether a large haul of cocaine found on two South American tourists may have been destined for New Zealand's illicit drug market.
Officers seized 2.2 kilos of cocaine during a raid on a hotel in Nadi after a tip off.
It is believed to be the biggest consignment of the drug ever found in Fiji.
The Fijilive website quotes police as saying they are trying to establish whether the arrested people, a Mexican woman and a Colombian man, were trying to take the drugs to New Zealand or Australia.
However they are also not ruling out the possibility the cocaine could have been destined for the Fijian market.
