SUVA - An agreement resolving the Fiji hostage crisis is scheduled to be signed this morning.
The breakthrough was announced last night by Jo Browne, secretary to former President Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara.
"We have now reached an agreement. The journey that started on the 19th of May will be completed tomorrow and at 11 o'clock we will sign the agreement. I will not take any questions."
Mr Browne was speaking after talks between coup leader George Speight and military leaders.
Military spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Filipo Tarakinikini, who was with Mr Browne, would not give details of the agreement and made no comment on when the hostages would be released from the parliamentary complex in Suva.
