A suspect has been reportedly identified in the Madeleine Pulver bomb hoax case.
Detectives in Sydney have spoken to a man they believe to be responsible for strapping the fake collar-bomb to the 18-year-old schoolgirl's neck during last week's extortion attempt at her Mosman home on Sydney's lower north shore, The Daily Telegraph reported on Friday.
Police identified the man from information gathered from Madeleine and her family in the days after the August 3 ordeal.
A senior police source told The Daily Telegraph the suspect had been spoken to by detectives but not yet formally interviewed.
The paper also reported that Madeleine described her attacker as having "old, wrinkly eyes" peering through the balaclava he was wearing to disguise himself during the attack.
