Britain's Daily Mail has published the story of an ugly late-night confrontation at a Manchester hotel that left a hotel manager doubled up in excruciating pain.
CCTV footage shows Brittania Hotel night manager Phil Burke fending off an attack by a woman in the hotel's lobby.
Gemma Ryan, 23, flew into a rage when she was stopped by suspicious staff from walking up to a room when she was unable to give the full name of the guest she was visiting.
Wearing high-heels, she then kicked Burke in the groin.
Burke, who was the hotel's night manager at the time, wrestled her to the ground and kept her there until police arrived.
Burke, a 41-year-old married father, told the Daily Mail that he had undergone two CT scans and was awaiting surgery to his groin after the incident.
Ms Ryan later admitted common assault and was banned from entering the hotel again.
