An energy firm has agreed to pay an extra US$295 million ($438 million) to Californians who sued it in a pollution cancer case made famous in the film Erin Brockovich.
From the 1950s to the 1970s, the Pacific Gas and Electric Company released chromium in groundwater north of LA.
The settlement is on top of a 1996 US$333 million deal.
