Mexico's Navy seized 20kg of powerful explosives in Mexico City after exchanging information with US authorities.

Four Mexicans suspected of links to organised crime were being questioned after a raid on a hostel.

Officials said the explosives are the type used in demolition that can be applied directly to structures and have enough force to break apart metal.
