A Victorian grandmother who killed her husband after he constantly demanded kinky sex has been jailed for 11 years.
Eileen Mary Creamer, 53, a former New Zealand resident, was the first Victorian woman to be found guilty of defensive homicide.
She bashed her husband David, possibly with a South African tribal stick, before stabbing him in the abdomen during a fight at their Moe home in February 2008.
During her trial Creamer claimed her husband made constant demands for her to have sex with other men in front of him and had been violent and abusive to her in the lead-up to his death.
A jury found her not guilty of murder, but guilty of defensive homicide.
On Thursday, Justice Paul Coghlan said the couple had a dysfunctional relationship.
He said Mr Creamer died after a "very substantial" beating that demonstrated Creamer was "out of control".
Justice Coghlan ordered South African-born Creamer, who was also a former New Zealand resident, serve at least seven years in prison before being eligible for parole.
She has already served nearly two years in custody.
