Euthanasia advocate Dr Philip Nitschke is in Adelaide to inspect possible sites for Australia's first euthanasia clinic.
Nitschke said the clinic, to be run by his pro-euthanasia group Exit International, will be needed if the South Australian Parliament pass a bill decriminalising assisted suicide.
The bill would give doctors a legal defence if they administered drugs, at a patient's request, that would hasten death.
