The military operations head of the Basque separatist rebel group ETA has been arrested in southern France.
Garkoitz Asiazu Rubina, known by his alias "Txeroki", was arrested in the area of Cauterets in a co-ordinated operation between French and Spanish security forces, newspaper El Pais said on its website, quoting a French Interior Ministry statement.
