A restaurant on US 90 in Biloxi, Mississippi, which sits across the road from the Gulf of Mexico, is completely gutted by Hurricane Katrina.
Biloxi was heavily damaged by the category four hurricane. The storm slammed into New Orleans with winds of 216 km/h, shutting 91 per cent of the normal 1.5 million barrels per day of crude oil production in the Gulf Coast region.
