Eight killed in riots

A police chief says the death toll from Muslim riots against Christians in eastern Pakistan has increased to eight after two men wounded by gunfire died in hospital.

Punjab police chief Tariq Salim Dogar said 46 people had been arrested in the violence, which began after allegations that a Koran had been defaced.
