KUWAIT CITY (AP) Egypt's interim president is visiting Arab monarchies in the Gulf that have propped up the new military-backed rulers in Cairo with $14 billion in pledged aid.
Adly Mansour's office and the official Kuwait News Agency say he was in Kuwait on Wednesday and met the country's ruler Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Kuwait pledged $4 billion in aid to Egypt following the ouster of President Mohammed Morsi, who hails from the Muslim Brotherhood group.
Mansour is set to meet leaders in the United Arab Emirates Thursday. The trip comes just days after Egypt's prime minister secured a total of $4.9 billion in aid during his visit to the UAE.
Mansour's first trip was to Saudi Arabia earlier this month. Riyadh pledged some $5 billion.
