Earthquake strikes near Fiji

There have been no immediate reports of damage after an earthquake struck near Fiji late this afternoon.

The US Geological Survey reported that the quake was situated 360km southwest of Fiji's Ndoi Island at approximately 4.30pm NZT.

It measured 6.3 on the Richter scale at a depth of 536km.
