An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale has struck off eastern Indonesia, the Indonesian geophysics agency says.
The quake occurred at 9.17am (local time) on Wednesday and its epicentre was 184 kilometres north-east of Maluku Barat Daya on the Molucca islands, the agency said.
The quake occurred at a depth of 173 kilometres and there were no immediate reports of damage. No tsunami alert has been issued.
