The Kiwi half of the infamous "dumb and dumber" bandits will tell his story on national Australian TV tomorrow night.
Anthony Price, who now lives in Byron Bay, New South Wales, made worldwide headlines in 2005 when he and partner in crime Luke Carroll managed to bungle a US$132,000 ($184,306) bank heist in Colorado in the United States, being caught the next day after leaving a trail of clues.
The armed robbery landed Price in a US federal prison for four years.
Prince will reveal to ABC's Australian Story what was going through his head before committing the robbery.
"We didn't really want to rob a bank. We were just talking about it and thinking about it and joking about how we could actually do it and then before we knew it, it just turned serious," Prince says in the interview, Australian website news.com.au reported.
One of the most telling pieces of evidence was photos of the pair with huge wads of $20 bills.
Other mistakes included the duo wearing name tags during the hold-up, buying a Rolex watch with $5 bank notes from a local store soon after the robbery, attempting to buy one-way air tickets to Mexico with cash and tipping a cab driver $20,000 ($21,550).
