Vanity Fair is one of many media outlets that have been regular critics of President-elect Trump throughout his candidacy and following his election victory.
Recently, the magazine published an article claiming that Trump Grill - a steakhouse in the lobby of Manhattan's Trump Tower - could be "the worst restaurant in America."
"The allure of Trump's restaurant, like the candidate, is that it seems like a cheap version of rich," the article read, adding the restaurant "reveals everything you need to know about our next president."
Years ago - long before Trump expressed an interest in politics - Graydon Carter referred to the billionaire businessman as a "short-fingered vulgarian" in the now-defunct Spy magazine, which he co-founded in 1986.
Carter recently spoke out about his ongoing joke about the size of Trump's hands, admitting it sparked a decades-long feud.
The tweet condemning Vanity Fair is one of several the President-elect fired off . He expressed gratitude for being named "Person of the Year" by TIME magazine and the Financial Times, saying it was a "great honour."
He also called out the media for complicating his move to the White House, and questioned Russian hacking's impact on the US election.
