Donald Trump said Saturday that he and Hillary Clinton should be required to take drug tests before the third presidential debate, insinuating that something "is going on with her."
"Athletes, they make them take a drug test. I think we should take a drug test prior to the debate. I do. I think we should, why don't we do that? We should take a drug test prior, because I don't know what's going on with her. But at the beginning of her last debate she was all pumped up at the beginning and at the end she was like, 'Oh, take me down.'"
"And she could barely even reach her car," he said at the end, appearing to reference Clinton's health scare last month, in which her knees buckled as she was escorted into her vehicle. She had pneumonia at the time.
Trump claimed overwhelming victories after the first two debates despite polling suggesting otherwise. The third presidential debate is scheduled to take place next Wednesday in Las Vegas.
On the stump, Trump regularly questions Clinton's health and stamina and has suggested that Clinton does not have the energy needed to be president.
