A Japanese aquarium trains a disabled dolphin to use the world's first artificial fin, which saved its life.
The 37-year-old female dolphin Fuji suffered a life-threatening disease which caused her tail fin to rot.
The condition forced the aquarium to get her fin amputated by 75 per cent in order to save her life.
"But thanks to a new prosthetic creation Fuji is now able to lead a normal life," her trainer says.
It's the world's first artificial fin and is made of the same rubber material used for the tyres of Formula One race cars.
The flippers were donated to the Okinawa aquarium by tyre manufacturer Bridgestone, who perfected the invention in an US$83,000 ($120,000) project.
