Swiss businessman Max Goeldi arrived home last night after nearly two years stranded in Libya.
Goeldi and another Swiss businessman were held after the son of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi was arrested in Switzerland in 2008. His return to Zurich draws a line under a diplomatic row. Libyan officials deny the Swiss man's case had anything to do with Hannibal Gaddafi's arrest.
Goeldi had been held for violating immigration rules. The Swiss have apologised for the publication of a leaked police photo of Hannibal Gaddafi taken while he was under arrest and paid $2.2 million compo.
