A woman who smashed a broken bottle into Leonardo DiCaprio's face has pleaded "no contest" to assault with a deadly weapon.
Aretha Wilson, 40, could face seven years in prison for the attack, which happened during a party in the Hollywood Hills hosted by Paris Hilton's former boyfriend, film producer Rick Salomon.
DiCaprio was rushed to hospital after the attack, needing 12 stitches around his face and neck, but avoided lasting injury to the looks that have made him one of Hollywood's highest earners.
However, the judge, who saw photographs of the star's injuries, said he did not consider them trivial or moderate.
Ms Wilson, who reportedly had mistaken DiCaprio for her ex-boyfriend, fled to Canada after the incident, but police tracked her down and arrested her.
In August she pleaded not guilty.
Ms Wilson is expected to be sentenced this month to two years in a California prison under a plea deal with the Los Angeles District Attorney. She will likely receive credit for the 330 days she has already served in jail.
DiCaprio, 36, a three-time Oscar nominee who is famed for his roles in The Beach, Titanic, and The Aviator, was taking a break from filming Martin Scorsese's The Departed at the time of the attack, in July 2005.
