Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward, caught up in the scandal over the outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame, says the spy's name was not divulged to him by President George W. Bush, Vice-President Dick Cheney or Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.
He indicated in a CNN interview that his secret source was male, which clears Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Bush confidante Karen Hughes.
