LONDON - A report into the shooting of Brazilian Jean Charles de Menezes at Stockwell Tube station last year will recommend prosecutors consider manslaughter charges against three police officers, the BBC reported today.
De Menezes was shot dead in an underground train on July 22 by police who mistook him for a suspect in the London bombings.
Prosecutors have been studying a report by the Independent Police Complaints Commission into the case, and are due to announce their decision next week.
The BBC said it had learnt that the IPCC report had suggested prosecutors seek manslaughter charges against a senior Scotland Yard officer and two firearms officers.
The Crown Prosecution Service and the IPCC both declined to comment on the BBC television report.
