COPENHAGEN - A road bridge in northwestern Denmark collapsed late last night, killing one person and injuring five others, one of them seriously, police said.
The bridge near the city of Aalborg was undergoing renovation work when it collapsed.
Aalborg police said the other four victims had suffered only minor injuries.
But the Danish public service broadcaster said others might be trapped under the rubble, saying it had information the bridge fell on top of one or more cars.
Some bridge workers may also have fallen in with the collapsing bridge, the broadcaster suggested on its website.
