PRAGUE (AP) The Czech Republic may not have enough police officers, but it has two police chiefs.
Interior Minister Martin Pecina says that former police president Petr Lessy who was fired last year by his predecessor over allegations of misusing power will return to his job after he was cleared by a court in October.
Lessy's successor, Martin Cervicek, has refused to resign.
Cervicek has called the situation "absolute nonsense" while Pecina has ordered Lessy to take a vacation in the meantime.
The police president is the top police officer in the country.
