Crew of bulk carrier foil pirate attack

The crew of a Japanese bulk carrier foiled a pirate attack in the Strait of Malacca. Pirates on an unlit speedboat attempted to board the vessel from the back.

Noel Choong of the International Maritime Bureau said the crew switched on flood lights and turned hoses on the pirates.
