Couple beat indecency charge

A Dubai appeals court has thrown out a public indecency conviction after a Pakistani husband and wife claimed the car they were caught canoodling in was a private place.

Their lawyer, Majid Al Kabban, confirmed that the ruling by a lower court, which had sentenced the two to a month in prison and deportation, was overturned last week.

The couple successfully argued their car should be treated like a private house.
