Fiji Police Commissioner Andrew Hughes says in a letter to the Fiji Sun that 2115 people have faced criminal charges linked to Fiji's 2000 coup.
Two senior New Zealand policemen will go to Fiji this month to conduct a peer review of the coup files.
Mr Hughes said investigations were still going on.
Of the 3521 investigated, 2115 were charged and taken to court, 704 found guilty, 99 sentenced to jail terms, 97 had suspended sentences, 45 were fined and 461 acquitted or bound over.
