Cosmetic imports to Malaysia must be halal certified

All cosmetics and beauty products imported into Malaysia must now have certificates to show they're made from ingredients deemed "halal" or permissible under Islamic rules

"Without the certification, shipments will be turned away," said the director general of the Malaysian Islamic Religious Development Department, Mustafa Abdul Rahman.
