Communists of West Bengal win again

The world's longest-serving democratically elected Communist Government, the Indian state of West Bengal, has won its seventh consecutive victory at the polls.

In state election results the coalition led by the Communist Party of India increased its share of the vote, claiming more than 220 seats in the 294-seat state assembly.
