Comical moment dopey fish watch as a sneaky rat steals their lunch

This is the amusing moment a school of fish have their lunch stolen by a sneaky rat.

In a clip of the theft published online the tiny goldfish can be seen swimming around a bit of bread that had been thrown into their pond.

But the dopey creatures are unable to take a bite out of the food despite it being right there in front of them, according to Daily Mail.

The fish go to nibble the piece of bread but whenever they get close, they hurriedly swim away.

Two terrapins decide to wade in and try to nab the bread for themselves in the confusion.

But just as they get within reach a rat jumps into the pond and steals the food literally from under their noses.

He swims across the pond and into covered safety as the deflated pond creatures reflect on their loss.
