CNN reports that the FBI has suspicious information on Trump associates' ties with Russia.
The information indicates associates of President Donald Trump communicated with suspected Russian operatives, US officials told CNN.
Those communications were to "possibly coordinate the release of information damaging to Hillary Clinton's campaign".
The network says this is partly what FBI Director James Comey was referring to when he told a Congress hearing that the FBI was investigating the Trump campaign's ties to Russia. The FBI is reviewing that information.
CNN says it includes human intelligence, travel, business and phone records and accounts of in-person meetings, according to those US officials.
