New Zealand's Jemaine Clement has missed out on the Emmy for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his work in Flight of the Conchords.
It has gone to Alec Baldwin for his performances in 30 Rock.
Flight of the Conchords was overlooked in the Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series category, with the award going to writer of 30 Rock Matt Hubbard.
Aussie Toni Collette has picked up an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a comedy for her show United States of Tara.
Outstanding Supporting Actor in a comedy series went to John Cryer from Two and a Half Men. Kristin Chenoweth won the Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, for the cancelled show Pushing Daisies.
