Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg says he is anxious to resolve Britain's political impasse and hopes his party can make an announcement on its decision as quickly as possible.
Speaking outside his London home, Clegg said he is "as impatient as anyone else to resolve matters one way or another."
He said "we will act as ever responsibly ... to create the stable government the British people deserve."
Clegg said his party, which is talking to both Labour and the Conservatives, spent much of the night discussing their options.
