KEY POINTS:
LONDON - The body of missing children's television presenter Mark Speight was found in a secluded part of Paddington station yesterday, three months after the death of his fiancee Natasha Collins.
Speight, 42, who hosted the BBC art show Smart, went missing on Tuesday last week, and concern had been growing for his safety as he was said to have been in a vulnerable state. He was initially arrested on suspicion of murdering his fellow presenter Collins, 31, and supplying her with class-A drugs. Police later "cancelled" his arrest and said he was not a suspect, but friends said he never recovered from finding his lover dead in a bath of scalding hot water from a drug overdose and severe burns.
A post-mortem examination on Speight's body was due to be carried out overnight. It is thought he took his own life.
Police described his death as "unexplained" but said he had not been hit by a train.
A spokeswoman for British Transport Police said a man's body had been found "away from public view".
