Malaysian police hunted for a man who barged into a kindergarten and hit three children on their heads with a hammer.
The unidentified assailant climbed over a locked gate at the Sinario Kindergarten and stormed into a classroom where the headmistress was watching over 20 6-year-old children, said a district police official in southern Johor state.
The man temporarily blinded the headmistress with pepper spray and swung his hammer at several students, hitting two boys and a girl on their heads before fleeing on a motorcycle.
The three children suffered bleeding and were in hospital in stable condition, the official said.
