Cervical cancer revealed by Australian PM's wife

A decade after her diagnosis, Janette Howard, wife of the Australian PM, has revealed publicly for the first time her battle against cervical cancer. Until yesterday she had not disclosed which cancer she had suffered.

Her husband John called off a trip soon after becoming PM in 1996 because of her ill health.
