KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) Police in Jamaica say a Canadian man and a Jamaican woman have been killed and another person from Canada was injured when a driver swerved into them alongside a road in a northern coastal town.
The Jamaican Constabulary Force says the vehicle's driver fled the scene after the crash in Oracabessa and is being sought for questioning.
A police statement identified the dead as Ronald Wickett, a 55-year-old Canadian visitor to the Caribbean island and 75-year-old Daphne Livermore of Jamaica. The third victim, also Canadian, was hospitalized in serious but stable condition.
Police said in a statement Wednesday that Wickett and the other Canadian were sitting on a parked motorcycle in the town near Ocho Rios when the car hit them a day earlier. Wickett's hometown was not released.
