OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) Canada has announced a new limited-edition commemorative stamp featuring his Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge less than a week before his christening.
Canada Post president Deepak Chopra said Thursday that the stamp features an informal photo of Prince George with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. He says the photo was taken by the infant's grandfather, Michael Middleton, this summer.
Canada Post issued two stamps in 2011 featuring His and Her Royal Highnesses, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to commemorate the young couple's engagement and to mark their wedding. The Post says those stamps were the most popular stamps of that year.
The stamp and other collectibles will be available at post offices across Canada, as well as online at canadapost.ca/shop starting October 22.
