TORTOLA, British Virgin Islands (AP) All foreigners seeking a driver's license from the British Virgin Islands will soon be required to pass a road test.
Acting Department of Motor Vehicles Commissioner Kye Rymer says the test will take much less time than those given to student drivers. He said late Friday that no appointment is necessary and that the test will be administered starting in October.
Previously, foreigners only had to pass a written test.
The British territory of some 30,000 people is one of the world's top offshore trust jurisdictions and the nominal home to more than 500,000 companies.
