The remains of butchered pigs have been dumped in the Muslim section of a West Australian cemetery in an apparent racist attack.
Two pig carcasses were strewn underneath the sign indicating the Muslim section of the Rockingham Regional Memorial Park in Baldivis overnight.
The WA Metropolitan Cemeteries Board confirmed the incident, and said the animal parts had been removed as soon as they were discovered.
"Board staff discovered the dumped animals at the Baldivis park on Monday morning," a board spokesman said.
"The City of Rockingham and the police have been notified and the animal remains were removed as a matter of absolute urgency.
