Bush supports gay ties

Former first lady Laura Bush has expressed support for gay marriage and abortion, in a break with her husband.

Bush told CNN's Larry King that gay marriage and abortion were points of contention with former President George W. Bush.

She said: "When couples are committed to each other and love each other, they ought to have, I think, the same sort of rights that everyone has." She also told King she believes abortion should remain legal.
