Bus blast kills soldiers in Kashmir

Suspected Islamic militants blew up a paramilitary bus in the Indian-controlled portion of Kashmir last night, killing at least 26 soldiers and wounding 15 others, many critically.

The powerful explosion in India's Jammu-Kashmir state occurred when a Border Security Force convoy was passing by. A spokesman for the paramilitary force blamed the attack on Islamic guerrillas.
