Burglary hot spot

Manchester residents suffer the most burglaries in England and Wales while those living in Teesdale in Durham suffer the fewest, according to figures from the Conservative Party.

Based on statistics from 368 Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships, there were 7167 domestic burglaries in Manchester from 2008-9 or the equivalent of 35 for every 1000 households.

Teesdale had 1.27 burglaries per 1000 homes.
