SOFIA, Bulgaria (AP) Bulgaria's opposition has scheduled a second confidence vote regarding the government in just a week, underscoring the depth of the Balkan country's months-long political crisis.
The motion against the Socialist-backed government was signed Thursday by opposition lawmakers who accuse the 4-month-old government of a "failure in regional development and infrastructure policy."
Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski's Cabinet survived a confidence vote last week regarding its investment policies, and is expected to rally enough support in parliament to withstand the next one, too.
However, the oppositional center-right GERB party says it will continue to call such votes until the government resigns. That is allowed under Bulgarian law as long as each confidence vote raises a different issue.
