New South Wales police believe a neighbourhood dispute led to the shooting deaths of two brothers in a Newcastle street.
The bodies of the pair, aged 22 and 30, were found in Windeyer St, Mayfield, around 6pm last night. Both had gunshot wounds.
Police say neither of the men lived at the property near where they were found, but they did know their murderer.
"We believe that last night there was a domestic dispute between neighbours, which resulted in the shooting of both males," a police spokesman told ABC radio today.
Homicide detectives and local police are investigating.
The police are seeking the driver of a white Ford utility with NSW registration plates FIL 84A which was seen in the area around the time of the incident.
